Preferences and details

• The Material is an authentic, custom made 50s brass alloy with exact hardness according to Vickers hardness grade HV, which significantly influences the damping of string vibrations.
• The posts are flat on one side and rounded on the other, typical of 50s components. Their orientation in the body can be set as desired and does not affect performance. (Both orientations can be found on instruments from this period).
• The original thumbwheel shape (TPI/Teeth per Inch) and chamfers were precisely replicated using special, custom made tools for accuracy.
• The classic but state-of-the-art manufacturing process results in authentic tool marks, as can be found on the original parts. The threads were cut (not rolled, as is often claimed as vintage correct).
• The drum polishing process softens the edges and, combined with the final nickel plating (copperless), gives the surface a naturally, slightly aged vintage look.
